Diverse world of herbs and alpine flowers
The Venosta Valley South Tyrol in the west is due to its unique location surrounded by mountain ranges one of the driest alpine valleys. His opposition, which is closely branched valleys, the wide meadows and pastures, barren slopes and deep gorges and of course the mighty summit - dominate the landscape. The climatic conditions provide a unique vegetation and diverse fauna. The many mountain flowers and mountain herbs are impressive not only by their appearance and their scent, they also have many ingredients and healing properties.
The week of 03-10.07.2010 is all about the local herbs and alpine flowers. In herbal walks, botanical tours and slide shows to learn interesting facts about their impact and application. And not only that - you can even make a salve and taste dishes with herbs in their host plants. At 10.7. also takes place in Burgeis a herb festival.
