In the cultural center of Burgeis held on 21 Nov. 2009 a Cultural Evening held. Celebrated:
- the 300th Birth of Johann Evangelist Holzer, the Baroque painter born in Burgeis
- 400 years German village school Burgeis
- 50 years elementary school "Johann Evangelist Holzer Burgeis"
- 40 years Cultural Center Cooperative Burgeis
Program: Abstract of Father Martin Angerer on John Ev. Holzer, presentation of the special issue of the cultural magazine "The Sciliar" on John Ev. Holzer, staged scenes from the life of the artist with students and teachers at the elementary school "Johann Evangelist Holzer," Greetings from the Mayor H. Wellenbrock Sögel (D), where is located the tomb Holzer, musical entertainment by the band Burgeis.

The trip was organized by Christian Brand, the son of Herman Brand, who was also there and has already established links in the 60 years since the first contacts with Burgeis.
